TechFW created and manages the operations of the Cowtown Angels program, working closely with members of the Cowtown Angels Steering Council.
TechFW is a non-profit organization that has been helping entrepreneurs launch and grow emerging technology companies since 1998. We identify entrepreneurs and startup companies with technologies that have a high potential for success in the marketplace and mentor, coach and relentlessly push them toward success. Where and when appropriate, we match the resources of the community with the passion of entrepreneurs to extend the support system necessary to nurture the startup and growth of each company.
To encourage the development of the technology business community by helping regional entrepreneurs commercialize innovative technology.
TechFW was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit organization to diversify the Fort Worth economy through an emphasis on new technologies. While originally focused on medical technologies, by 2003, TechFW broadened its mission and included companies based on any form of proprietary technology.
Since 2006, TechFW’s focus has been on programs intended to mentor and coach the inventors, founders and managers of these early stage companies. TFW programs keep them focused on the important work of long-term strategy while they also do the tough day-to-day work of getting the company started, and connect them with the resources they need to get new technologies into the market that will broaden and strengthen the area’s economy.
